British model Adwoa Aboah has fast become a darling of the fashion world. She was recently named Model of the Year at The Fashion Awards 2017, beating out the likes of Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber for the honour. However, far more than just a really pretty face, in addition to her many turns on the runway the 25-year old has used her platform to launch her own podcast, GurlsTalk, to encourage young women to openly discuss the issues facing them.
Her latest project is with Burberry and legendary photographer Juergen Teller. Together, the pair created a series of images for the iconic British brand that will be released in 2018.
The images feature Adwoa with friends and members of her family on North London's Regent's Canal and highlight the brand's forthcoming collection which will be available to purchase from December 26. Taking a slightly different approach, the collection features laminated trench coats and accessories in bright highlighter-inspired neons as well as several pieces scrawled with the Doodle print and a brand new bag — the frame.
Of the collaboration, Adwoa says, "It has been a huge honour for me to work with Burberry and Juergen Teller on this inspiring project. My role as both model and artistic director is one I have really enjoyed and embraced. Christopher Bailey is an incredible visionary and it has been an amazing experience to work together with him and Juergen to create this series of stories."
