Instagram has announced that it is increasing its image quality on both Android and iOS. The Facebook-owned social media platform will up its photo resolution from 640x640 to 1080x1080.
This new improvement will ensure that Instagram stays up to date with the ever-increasing mobile screens and the Instagram feed will look extra crisp on the iPhone's Retina screen.
Yesterday Instagram released its new 7.1.0 version, which introduces a redesigned 'Explore' tab in the U.S featuring several major updates. The update provides those outside of the U.S with improved search facilities – you can now search by location and find posts specifically tagged with a place name, as well as search all posts and do a quick power search across username, name, hashtag or location.
The resolution update is expected imminently. Stay tuned...
