Harrods will exhibit its first ever concept garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this May. Titled 'The Fragrance Garden', it has been created in collaboration with award-winning garden designer Sheena Seeks, and is said to be a celebration of perfume through the medium of flowers.
The multi-sensory garden will explore the relationship between nature and science, looking at the foundations of floral perfumes and will also have an interactive digital display that can be fully viewed through tablets and phones.
Inspired by the 19th Century artisan tradition of 'enfleurage' (a technique whereby the scent of flowers is captured in wax) on one side of the garden flowers will appear enclosed in oversized laboratory beakers and test tubes, while on the adjacent side they reappear, transformed into giant paper blooms.
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show will run 19–23 May 2015
