First look: Karl Lagerfeld's Choupette line for Shu Uemura
Karl Lagerfeld’s cat is no ordinary feline – she has 40,000 Twitter followers, lives an incredibly lavish lifestyle and now, has her own makeup line with the coveted Shu Uemura.
As first reported back in July, Choupette – Lagerfeld's pet kitty – landed a major beauty deal, with Japanese pioneers Shu Uemura. Today we have the first full look at the new collection, which is described by the feline as "Glamourpuss Luxury."
The holiday collection features eye shadows inspired by the pampered feline's peepers, alongside glamorous false eyelashes decorated with pink feathers, silver highlights and – of course – crystals.
The packaging of the cleansing oil, eye primer, eye and lip palettes, glitter powder and blush compacts all feature hand-drawn sketches of Choupette by Lagerfeld. The collection also features a makeup brush kit, silver cosmetics trunk and a eyelash curler.
This is the second time Chanel's maestro has partnered with Shu Uemura – he launched a holiday line with the cosmetics giant back in 2012.
The collection launch is being celebrated with a Instagram competition – for which both Karl and Shu Uemura invite fans to take selfies and cat snaps for the chance to win a signed cosmetics trunk.
