Chanel to launch at London's historical Burlington Arcade
London’s Burlington Arcade, a covered parade of shops that runs between Piccadilly and Bond Street, will soon play host to a string of Chanel-owned labels.
Thor Equities, which together with European property group Meyer Bergman bought the historical 19th Centuary Burlington Arcade in London's West End in 2010, has said that Chanel has signed a long-term lease for stores on its parade of shops.
The luxury group will open five spaces in the arcade – one 807-square-foot unit will house a dedicated Chanel boutique for accessories, while four other shops will house the swim and lingerie label Eres, watchmakers Bell & Ross, milliner Maison Michel and the knitwear label Barrie, which are all owned by Chanel.
The new boutiques will stand nearby to existing stores in the arcade including Ladurée, Vilebrequin, Harrys of London, Lulu Guinness and Church's shoes.
