From April 2 to May 31, the British department store welcomes the Pradasphere takeover, presenting the inspirations of the Italian fashion house's creative director through a series of images and pieces from the Prada archive.
For more than 30 years, Miuccia Prada has been breaking the bounds of fashion on the Prada runways, in Milan. As a truly avant-garde designer, she draws inspiration from all around her, mixing up different ideas to create her own, singular world, as seen in her street-art inspired silhouettes on the Spring/Summer 2014 runway. Now, the world of Prada come to London as the designer's architecture, cinema, sport and art influences go on display until May 31 on the fourth floor of London department storeHarrods, with the Pradasphere takeover. The store's windows present a previously unseen retrospective, recounting key moments in the Italian fashion house's story, with a unique backdrop of different lines, experiments and collaborations from Miuccia Prada, alongside an exclusive capsule collection of ready-to-wear, bags, shoes and accessories, exclusively developed for Harrods and the Pradasphere café on the fourth floor of the historic department store. To mark the occasion, you can even order some of the most iconic pieces from the Italian fashion house's history - for Prada aficionados, it surely doesn't get better than this.
Pradasphere exhibition, from April 2 until May 31 2014 in Harrods, 87-135 Brompton Rd, London.
