Last Friday, February 24, at Milan Fashion Week an official press luncheon was held at the Sala delle Cariatidi in the Palazzo Reale to announce details about the upcoming Costume Institute exhibition, announcing the upcoming May 10 opening of the exhibition, a retrospective of Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations at New York's The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The exhibition, organized by the Costume Institute at MET, will follow in the footsteps of the hugely popular last year's retrospective of the late Alexander McQueen creation. Impossible Conversations will exhibit the analogy between the work of two great women designers and innovators of fashion.
Museum president Emily K. Rafferty, curators Harold Koda and Andrew Bolton, and Anna Wintour were joined by Miuccia Prada (in a fresh-from-the-runway coat) and Stefano Boeri.
